How to Load DCR another DCR in XSL PT and read the content ?

Hi All,
I was away from teamsite for some time. It feels good to do Teamsite development. Anyway, I want to load a DCR into XSL PT and read the content of that DCR for generating the target HTML.

Like we have tag in the perl based PT -

<iw_load_dcr var="dcrpath" file="templatedata/MySite/MyDataType/data/Testing.dcr" global="t" />

and use this variable to read the content of the DCR. Anyone know anything like this in XSL.

I have tried bellow, but it is not wroking -

<xsl:variable name="dcrpath">
Y:/default/main/ExternalSite/en_US_Branch/WORKAREA/Development/templatedata/MySite/MyDataType/data/Testing.dcr
</xsl:variable>

<xsl:value-of select="document($dcrpath)/Header/headerNav" />

Where am I going wrong ? Is there anyother option ?

Environment : Teamsite 6.7.2
OS : Windows 2003

Note : I am not using any component or Java code for creating the external or something like that. It's just a simple the XSL that I want to use as PT.

You need to include iwtools.xsl that have functions for getting workarea path, dct and other information.
You have to include that xsl into your presentation XSL.

Below are the samples that you need to import in your xsl based PT:

Make Sure the "iwtools.xsl" exist at the location that are refering in the XSL.

This could be done in another way. But my Suggestion is use the Workarea path so that you need not to hard code the path of the DCR.

Hope this will resolve your issue.

Unfortunately the iwtools.xsl is not present at the path. I am using 6.7.2.
Is that in the new version of Teamsite ?

What are the other alternative ways that you are talking about in the previous post ? Can you please elaborate ?

Are you browsing another saved DCR into the DCT? If So, then you want to load browsed DCR and traversed the browsed DCR through XSL?

Hi Vaibhav,

Just google and Download bsf.jar
copy the jars at iw-home/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/lib folder then run make_toolkit.ipl
this will copy iwtools.xsl

The above sample code was executed. Hope this will help you to resolve your issue.

I suspect it has to do with the protocol that the xsl-processor is using (file: vs http Smiley Happy

but this should become clear if we know the error message.

Also good to test: is the problem mainfest when you use a standalone xalan-processor?
