Teamsite UI showing 404 error

Hi ,

We have a new TS installation of 7.3.2 on RHEL-5.5. I did an update in ui_custom.xml with code snippet in the image attached -

the location of Jsp /var/Interwoven/TeamSite/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/web/

after performing this update I executed the make_toolkit.ipl comamnd to rebuild the webapp however after executing the comamnd the teamsite UI went down but Admin link was working fine only CCPro UI couldn't come up.

I removed my changes just to be sure that my code is not causing any issue I rebuild the webapp again but the time on iw-cc.war didn't get updated the second time also the build was successful both the time but TeamSite UI didn't come up.

Server.log displayed jboss started however I could see the message for Incompletely deployed packages for "iw-basicreportcenter.war".

Any pointers would be appreciated. Could this be related to installation?

Try running install_webapps.ipl -f to re-create all the toolkits from scratch (from vendor provided war files)

Note: If you (or someone there) placed any customizations directly within the ApplicationContainer directory structure - they will be lost; however, anything you didn't want in there will also be removed...

Thanks for the reply but running the ipl didn't do much favour to us Smiley Sad

Sounds like you don't have sufficient perms to run the build and/or the build errored halfway through. Check your perms and post the output of the install_webapps.ipl if you're still stuck.

Or you are running with a restricted umask. One of my customers has umask of 077 for root and that breaks the UI if you restart with that umask. I use 022 or 002

Worked with Support on this and they displayed that there was permission issues on the deploy folder along with that on the WARs.

We worked out with support on the permissions and rebuilt the webapp after making appropriate changes so UI was fine. Today I again tried to build the webapp by placing a JSP in /var/Interwoven/TeamSite/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/web and rebuilding it however the UI again went down.

Any pointers?

When I had executed install_webapps.ipl so it gave failed error for all the apps not sure why.

Thanks Nipper, yout just got the bulb glowing.. I verified and it seems to be umask issue. However I am working with the admin team to get it updated will post if things don't work.

This was a umask issue and it got rectified with 022 umask.
