Teamsite 7.4.1 UI does not come up after fresh installation

Hi All,

We are facing issue with Teamsite UI which does not come up after the fresh installation. we are getting below errors:

Teamsite - 7.4.1

Server - Windows 2012 (64 bits)

IIS 6

DB - MSSQL

Logs

core.log:-

com.interwoven.ui.base.config.FatalConfigurationException: Error getting trusted client.

Please find attached log zip.

Teamsite shows up and running on Windows services panel, while running below command, we are getting this error:

.\iwstat.exe, .\iwstoreadm.exe etc..

ERROR:5000013: Unable to establish connection with server

Kindly let me know if someone encountered such issues earlier or someone can trace it up. Would be great help.

Does this file exists ? C:/Interwoven/CommonServicesClient/config/ServiceIdMapping.properties

I would talk with support. There have been a number of issues installing TS on W2012, many have been rolled back to Windows 2008.

I suspect the list of required patches/add-ons/configurations is significant. Maybe support can provide exact configurations.

The "ERROR:5000013: Unable to establish connection with server" implies that your iwserver.exe isn't running, which means the web UI doesn't have a chance until that's fixed. Look at your TeamSite/local/logs/iwserver.log and TeamSite/local/logs/iwtrace.log to start. Once you fix that process, you can look at why the webapps aren't working (if that's still the case).

As nipper said, you may not actually be able to fix the iwserver on Win2012. See what you can do, but I'd open a support case at the same time.

Hi Nipper,

yes file - C:/Interwoven/CommonServicesClient/config/ServiceIdMapping.properties is available and below command gives proper response.

.\iwirstat.bat & .\iwirmapping.bat

I have already raised the support case and waiting for their response.

We had successfully installed TS on W2012 in my previous engagement. This issue seems to be some patches or configuration not availble in current W2012 machine.

Hi rpoulin,

we got below error in iwtrace.log -

IWADSI::GetGC: ADsEnumerateNext failed: 0x1
IWADSI::Init failed to get pointer to GC root.
[Wed Dec 17 06:35:32 2014] EnumerateOSGroups: Failed to initialize IWADSI.

There is no such error found in iwserver.log

That error isn't anything to worry about. Is your iwserver.exe process running (can you see it in taskmgr)?

If it is, restart JBoss and post some clean logs.

We found that the iwserver.exe has stopped working now and getting weird error in iwtrace.log

Though the license file is valid as hostname and domain name are same as entered in license file.

below is output of .\tsivalid.exe command.

The errors you are seeing are the ones most often experienced by folks trying to install / use TeamSite on W2K12.

You should open a case with Support - or, as most folks have done - punt: wipe the server, install W2K8, and then install TeamSite et al. There are just way too many headaches to deal with trying to get it to work on W2K12.

Hi All,

We got the work around from the Support Team which is as below. As per support, Teamsite does not work properly on W2012R2 and below workaround is required for many installations.

-Set DEP (Data Execution Prevention) in Windows to only monitor essential Windows services.

-Start TS as Administrator from a command prompt. 
-If UAC is enabled on the server, make sure that you select Run As Administrator to open the command prompt:
iwserver <path to \iw-store>
If \iw-store is on , then run:
iwserver \iw-store 

-You may also add the "C:\Interwoven\TeamSite\bin\iwserver C:\iw-store" as startup parameters to Interwoven TeamSite service properties
