Deployment of Images failing at Deploy Files task.

Sometime ago, our sql services went down. Due to some file corruption, had to re-install the sql server.

The new connection String is "delvmmcms/DELVMMCMS_DB:1433;", and we updated it in the "livesite-database.xml" file.

Now the sql services are up but deployments are still failing, with the below error.

Any help will be much appreciated.

NOTE: IT team did a test deployment by creating test UDL file on their local, which worked fine.

If this doesn't make it obvious to you, I don't know what else there is to say... except make sure your syntax in livesite-database.xml is correct and that you don't have any semi colons or other characters that don't belong.

Re-checked the syntax in livesite-database.xml and also username / password information is correctly setup.

Can you suggest some method of debugging this task, step by step, so that we can dive deep into the issue.

Make sure that your password for OD is encrypted. It is documented somewhere that says if you are using OD v7+, then the db password need to be encrypted. You can also try to make sure that the connection from the OD machine can connect to the sql server.

Adding to mart2001's suggestion, if they are all Windows servers then an easy way to test connectivity would be to simply create an ODBC connection on the server that is trying to connect. If you can get a connection, then you need to update something in TeamSite/OpenDeploy. If no connection, then as mentioned it could be a fat fingered password on the SQL server when they re-entered in the new username and password.

Also, if you re-installed the MSSQL server, then restored your database, then added a new local MSSQL user to MSSQL with the same name as the user in your database you might have to remove the user from the database, then re-add the user to the database as they will not have the same SID and MSSQL will not consider them the same user.

Thanks for your valuable replies... but the issue is still not fixed..

tried
1. 'ping delvmmcms ---successful
'telnet delvmmcms 1433 ---successful

2. verified db password and it is encrypted...

3. test connectivity by creating an ODBC connection, and it was successful.

So, I guess there is some issue with TeamSite configuration, but need to figure out what!!!

Apart livesite-database.xml, do i need to configure some other file as well???
