TextArea Datum in component

Hi,

We are using TextArea datum in component. When we try to update the HTML source with below code,


When we see the HTML source of the tinyMCE content after saving it, the span id attributes NumberShowing,NumberTotal are been removed from the code attached herewith. But if I replace id with span class="NumberShowing", it is getting preserved.

But if I try to add the same code in DCT - rich text area, it preserves the span id.
We dont have in context edit enabled for the datum.

Any pointers to same?
