This is a pretty basic "feature" of TeamSite - if you don't understand it you probably haven't done any of your "homework".

What do you mean by Extended Attributes?

In general, "Extended Attributes" (EA) is a File System mechanism that allows you to associate
your own arbitrary Metadata with Files. An adjective "Extended" in this context is used as
opposite to "Regular" File attributes like Name, Timestamp, Access Mode and whatnot.
EA Implementation mechanisms differ for different software products.

To give an example, you can set/get TS EA "Expiration_Date" or "Content_Owner" or "TeamSite/Metadata/PageTitle".
The latter naming is a sample of special TS EA Subset named "Metadata".
