Custom file type icons in FileSite
Nasher
I have FileSite 9.0 installed upon Outlook 2010.
I have a custom file type with the extension ".wdf" which is created by our program. In Outlook the FileSite folders display this file type's icon as a blank white square. Is there a way to configure this icon?
P.S. When you right click and select "Properties" you can see the correct icon.

I can't verify that it still works the same way in FileSite 9.0, although in all likelihood it does.
Take a look at Technote 92006-1675. It describes the process of registering icons for custom file extensions

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply. I have had a look for the article in the tech library but it doesn't seem to exist! Am I missing something? Where are these "technotes"?
Thanks again.

The IDOL search from the front page of the Worksite Support portal doesn't seem to work very well..
Just click the search button anyway, then at the top of the search results you'll see another Document Search textbox. Enter in the technote number there
Or you can click the Advanced hyperlink and be more specific about what you're searching for
The article is called "How to extend the icon set in FileSite"

I have tried using the advanced search on the search.autonomy.com website with the search string "How to extend the icon set in FileSite" and "92006-1675" but no relevant results are found. Do you have a direct URL link?
Thanks.

I'm unfamiliar with search.autonomy.com. For WorkSite related KB articles you should log into the Worksite Support portal:
