You can see the brief details of login component in SitePublisher developer guide. There is Registration and Registered User List component as well for registering and view the user to a site.
The back-end database is common for all the existing sites. An user can be authorize to one or more sites.
If you want to implement any custom logic then you have to do custom development.

I am also going through the OOTB Login component and couldn't find the following class which is used in this component.

com.interwoven.livesite.runtime.controller.impl.LoginController

I am able to create new user account using registration component. I want to know what is the database and schema or table that it is using for these components.

Are their any specific jar that has these OOTB component code? I have already gone through LiveSite-runtime.jar and foundation.jar . But still i couldn't find some of the classes refereed in OOTB components.

Easiest way to see the table definition is to look at the Hibernate mapping file for it: \WEB-INF\conf\livesite\orm\p13n.UserProfile.hbm.xml

That LoginController is indeed in livesite-runtime.jar (TS v7.x), so you must've missed it when you looked in there.

I would like to know the location of the Hibernate Configuration File (file where connection details are mentioned). I could not find it Smiley Sad

That path is relative to the deployed web application root..

Authoring Side:
Interwoven/ApplicationContainer/server/default/deploy/iw-cc.war/WEB-INF/conf/livesite/orm/p13n.UserProfile.hbm.xml

Runtime Side:
Interwoven/LiveSiteDisplayServices/runtime/web/WEB-INF/conf/livesite/orm/p13n.UserProfile.hbm.xml
