Iwupdate, windows 2k8 and 'user account control'

Hi,

on my win 2k8 server, when I run 'iwupdate' I am asked to 'do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?' by the windows 'User Account Control'.

This is annoying to a physical user but it is killing when this command is used in a (perl-) script.

Does anyone know how to by-pass this question?

I have not tried this, so remember the default setting before changing anything.

Go to Administrative Tools\Local Security Policy
Then select Local Policies\Security Options
Then select (User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators...) to Elevate without prompting.
The above may help, or you may need to change on of the other settings under Security Options.

Yes,

that would remove the popup for administrators but I have a cgi that runs under the teamsite user-account and that executes iwupdate.

You may need to change one of the other settings under Security Options.

You're going to have to experiment with it.
