Admin tab Issue

We have a new installation on 7.3.2 on RHEL 6 , we are facing issue with Admin tab. The Logs and Configuration tabs inside the Admin tab are not able to fetch details and dispalying error (screenshot attached for Logs tab).

The issue is due to the database firewall , for any such connections which are idol for more than 5 mins the firewall disconnects them considering them as stale. Client doesn't aggree on removing the validation, if not 5 mins it can max be 30 mins.

Is there a way through which we can keep database server connection alive by creating a script which interacts with DB. Also for such script do we need to execute from the same port as that of common services as I tried to work on a script at the OS level which establishes a connection with DB but does/doesn't close connection however it didn't work.

So they bought a product that they're not willing to support?

Pinging the server won't be enough to consider the connection to not be stale. If you were going to write a heartbeat script, you'd have to establish a proper SQL connection (over the proper port) using JDBC or otherwise, and maybe even execute a simple SELECT depending on the vendor you're using.

However, that doesn't help you keep the connection you need alive. You'd somehow need to execute a dummy SELECT statement using iwov's own DB handle, which you just can't do. Best you can hope for is to write a script that pings a service/URL that then causes a DB query, but that's awfully hacky.
