7.3.2 Standard (TeamSite) View - Import functionality

We are testing, for the first time, the CC Standard UI (called TeamSite) in 7.3.2 to see if it's viable for our users. One thing we've noticed is that when I navigate to a folder within a workarea (Folders tab) and then execute an Import from Local Filesystem, the file(s) get imported into the root of the workarea, not the folder I'm showing in my view. According to the docs (I know), it should Import the file into my folder. Is importing into the workarea root normal functionality for CC Std? This works properly in CC Pro.

Do I need to configure something? I would think not since the docs imply it's OOTB functionality.

It sounds like the Import command used was not associated with the folder navigation "view" (or whatever it's called) -- I don't have 7.3x running anywhere right now, so this is just a gut response based on a vague recollection of what I saw when I last took a look at that UI - and issues that the old CCStd UI had - with respect to menu options not having "context".

I wonder if this is fixable...I will open a support case and see what they say.

we found a bunch of UX issues with TeamSite UI in 7.3.2. Sent them to support to look at. Support came back saying "CCPro is recommended for all users".

Received my "official" response from IW Support on the Import issue:

"Presently, I m trying to reproduce the problem you are facing.

However, our advice for TS 7.3.2 is that business users should continue to use CCPRO. The TeamSite UI in TS 7.3.2 was not designed in the same way as CCSTD from previous versions.

The present TeamSite UI is designed keeping casual users as its target users. There are future plans to specialize it but not in TS 7.3.2"

And then this:

"An update on my previous post: I have been able to replicate your issue. Probably this is a defect. I may have to file it. Though, please keep in mind about my suggestion in the previous post about TeamSite UI usage. "

But it's definitely more modern looking!

We have just encountered a 7.3.2 problem where browse outs to VMB from DCRs are also placing the images and setting the path to the root mediaBin folder.

Any else see this in 7.3.2?
