Providing link to files in TS landing page

1) In TS CCStd, there is an area called My Workareas, where a list of all the workareas , a user can work on is displayed. Can we customize to display all files of a workarea on TS CCStd landing page ?

2) If a user is working on different workareas in different branches, is it possible to display a list of selected files he can work on in a separate link ? Like the list of "My Workareas" , can a user have a list of "My Files" (say 2-3 files from each workarea) from different branches on TS UI ?

First consider that CCStd is effectively deprecated/discontinued, so I don't think you really want to be investing that much effort into new customizations.. That said,

1) You could build a custom portlet for that, but that would be a terrible idea for reasons of performance and server load (unless all your workareas contain <100 files, in which case why are you using TeamSite?)

2) You could build a custom portlet for that too, yes. But a similar performance issue applies to this as well.

What is the ultimate goal here? Is it that the folder structure requires too many clicks? If so, consider just building a portlet that gives shortcuts (links) to key folders in that workarea.. Or just teach your users how to use Favorites.

I understand that CCStd is being moved to CCPro. But again we can provide some link in CCPro also, like one exists for "My Workareas"

I want to provide business users a list of files, on which they are working. I want to build a portlet that gives links to files in diferent workareas. After work is done, I want to remove files from here. And at later stage want to add different files.

I am not looking for a solution from you guys, but want to get an idea, is this possible. and a direction.

A custom portlet and/or menu item can do just about anything you can imagine. It's not a question of *if* the code can be written, it's whether you *should*.

Your goal has changed since your initial post. Now you're saying you want "I want to provide business users a list of files, on which they are working". This is fine because that list would normally contain, say, between 0 and 50 items (that portlet also already exists in CCStd and TSUI). Your original request to "list all files that are editable by the user" is not reasonable, because that list could contain thousands of items.

So if you can't be clear about your goal, at least try to explain the pain point you're trying to remedy here. What's the business problem?
