Changing layout properties of a component when set in the Appearance XSL output

I am on TS 6.7.2 SP 1 / SunOS,

We have a component and create SP page files out of it.We convert this SP page in to an HTML file.
The HTML get its default width and Height values from the components layout properties. for example

..
.....

[/HTML]
Now, I want to covert these values(of Width and height) in '%' as these values are set in Pixels in the [HTML][/HTML] properties of height and width.

any clues/ideas or references to meet this requirement.

If I understand your question....

You will need to know the total width of the parent object and use a little math to do the conversion.

If, for example, the width of the parent object is 1020px then your td width should be 50% (assuming you want 510 pixels) If you don't have a fixed width set somewhere in an ancestor object then you will be unable to convert an exact pixel width into a percentage.

But this HTML is used across diffrent applications for their webpages, also this page is used in as a HTML include , hence we have got no idea of where and how this content is being visualized.

So, we need to have a solution in such a way that this HTML page should dynamically adapt (Auto Fit ) the webpage when it is put in at certain portion of it .

Any suggestions on this !

If I understand your Question ? You have three web site

Site one - all the pages size is 300X600
Site Two - all the pages size is 600X800
Site Three - all the pages size is 900X1200

All these sites uses an html include for a content section , ( size of 100X100)
when this include is published to the site one, it should automatically fit to 100X600
and when publish to site two ,it should automatically fit to 100X800 etc..

Solution :
usually each site uses different css and define a generic

[PHP]

[/PHP]

tag and set different class values in the css.
Let’s say the site one main.css , # example { height: 100px;width: 600px;}
and on site two main.css , # example { height: 100px;width: 800px;} etc..

Component development :
write a custom page layout which generate the content with generic outer tag

[/PHP]

lets generate the html and publish !!
When this include is publishes to site one, it uses 100x600 values and when publish to site two , it uses 100x800 etc..
