Livesite runtime connector port 1776 ?

Shikha21

We have configure livesite runtime 3.1 with apache-tomcat-6.0.18 and
apache 2.

When we hit URL
http://:1776/
we get homepage of site.

but when we hit URL
http://:80/
http://:8080/
http:///
we get default Tomcat home page.

I need help here what is missing here it should alway display home page of site.

Expert please advice here.

Why are you still on LS 3.1 ?

You will need to redirect port 80 to 1776. Do you have IIS or Apache running on port 80.

This should be documented in one of the LS manuals.

I'm not sure if it is a best practice or not, but we have front-ended our LS installation with a web server (IIS and Apache are two fine choices) which has rewrites in place to direct pages that LS needs to satisfy to :1776.

Keeps web activity from hitting the Application Server directly

Nipper ~ Business require LS3.1.We are using apache web server.

All static content servered from apache and .page content served by tomcat.

I tried to hit following url but still its going to default Tomcat home page.
http:///
It should be site homepage.

So our design is if we hit ip address without mention port 1776 it should be site homepage not default tomcat home page.

Using port 1776 its working properly.

You apache is remapped to the wrong port/address, check the apache rewrites.

If this is a high traffic site you should let apache server images and stuff like that and LSDS server the pages. If not, then you should be OK

You should check your httpd.conf to see what rewrites are defined.

If should say something that will rewrite *.page request to localhost:1776. AND it should also says something on what to do with request for the root/index-page. From what I gather are your rewrites targeting port 8080 (the default tomcat instance)
