Transitioning from External Task to CGI Task

Can some one suggest How can i transition to CGI Task from external task without clicking on Start Input Task Button Manually.

I believe you need to add immediate="t" as an attribute of your cgitask element.

Example

I don't believe there is any way to transition that way. If anyone works out a way, I'd be interested to hear.

We've just structured our workflow to ensure all the CGI tasks occur one after another.

I didn't read the question correctly, I thought he was asking about going from usertask to cgitask.

Anybody found ans for this. I need to transition from url task to cgi task and immediate=t doesn't help.

There's no supported way to go from an external (regular external or URL external) task to a CGI Task with 'immediate' execution - the one thing you might be able to do is insert a user task with a 0 or 1 second timeout to the CGI Task (with the same owners) - but that may not work either.

Another alternative is to end the external task with email notification to the owner of the CGI Task so that they may activate the CGI from the email notification.
