Unable to access Teamsite UI

Hi,

I am getting the below error while accessing Teamsite URL:

The Interwoven Web Daemon was unable to contact the Interwoven Servlet Engine. The Interwoven Servlet Engine may be down, or running on an unexpected host or port.

Please contact your system administrator.

Did you happen to see this part of the output? You need to look at iwtrace.log to find out why the iwserver process didn't initialize properly.

Between those two logs, it looks like you have an issue mounting the content stores to /iwmnt. Looks like the startup process is trying to unmount those locations, so make sure someone didn't create actual folders at those locations while iwserver was down. Also check perms and disk space for those pieces, and it wouldn't hurt to run an iwfsck on your content stores.

I have also found out that my Apache is not running and I am unable to start httpd service. Could this be causing this issue?

No, but it's possible that both issues share the same root cause.

That said, I'd try fixing the content store first, since the httpd more or less depends on the former.

I am unable to locate /deafult/ directory on my server. could this be the root cause. I am not sure how it has disappeared.

The default folder (and the whole iwmnt for that matter) is mounted by the iwserver process. So it's no shocker that it disappeared on you if iwserver is not running, but that can't be the cause of the issue.

Hi,

perms and disk size seems to be fine and no folder has been created while iwserver is down.

I have found out that my tomcat port 8080 is not listening to anything.

[root@uscultsga01ta logs]# netstat -na| grep 8080
[root@uscultsga01ta logs]#

Whereas in my production environment its listening to a process.

Could this be causing the issue?

JBoss won't be able to boot up properly unless iwserver is running, so yes that makes sense. It's got nothing to do with the root cause though.
