1) Does a user has to have a permission to a branch in order to work on a workarea ? If a usergroup is granted permission to a content workarea, but is not added to rbc-sub2 branch which contains this WA, will users of this group be able to work on files in this WA ?
2) If a usergroup has acces to sub-branch (rbc-sub2), but not to its parent branch (rbc-sub), will user of this group be able to work in WA of sub branch (rbc-sub2)
My understanding is, since access is controlled at branch level, if user does not have access to rbc-sub2, then even if he has access to content workarea, he will noit be able to work in this WA.
If user has access to rbc-sub, but not to rbc-sub2, still user will not be able to work in content WA. But user can work in context workarea of rbc-sub.
So user has to have access at branch level and then rest of the permisions will follow.
Is this understanding correct ?
I am having issues with accessing a datatype in a workarea, so I am clarifying my understanding on access first.
