Unable to drag and drop certain components

Hi folks,

We are on TS 7.4.1 on Unix env and facing one good issue wrt to component drag and drop.

We are creating component using HTML5 and fixed layout page xsl is used. The page layout has Header, Main content and footer

After adding component we need to reposition them as per content need within Main content area. There are few components which we are not able to drag and drop with Main content area but are able to drag n drop others within same Main content area.

Is there any setting we have to check and accidentally didnt set for those component which we are unable to move.

Depends on how you've written your CSS. If your component markup uses floating or absolute positioning, the parent div (which controls the drag+drop) doesn't draw its bounds correctly. Usually the fix is to add CSS rules so that, at least in edit mode, your markup stays in its bounding box.

As a temporary solution, we have made the height and width of all components to 30 & 700 and we are able to drag an drop easily now.

Thanks for direction and we will check with UX team in this.
