Unable to create a new form of type

This is actually simple issue, but sometimes it makes trouble. I have admin access, so there should not be any permission issue. Here is the full message.

Unable to create a new form of type iitd1/MyBrand under the branch //Server/default/main/INTERNET/IITD1. This form was not configured for this branch or you do not have permission to access it.

Here 2 things involved.

1) We are using the template reference as :

<!ENTITY cat7 SYSTEM "D:\Interwoven\TeamSite\local\config\templates\Internet\iitd1.xml">

I added the entry in that xml file and reloaded. How can I make sure that it reloaded with new DCT type? I didn't find any error message in log file. Where will it write?

2) In datacapture.cfg we are using inline perl code.

If there is any issue with perl code, where can we find the error message?

TS 7.3.2, Windows.

The issue is likely the 1st.

The error you show implies it never looked at the DCT. I have use the XML include like you are using and have noticed some caching issues. Likely need some sort of reset, though you typically do not need it for DCTs

Thanks, I am also thought the same. I did server refresh from admin console but didn't see any difference. Do I need to restart the server? or any alternate to make sure about cache?

May want to try iwreset -a, it may be cached at the jboss level.

This is normally not required, but when you use the include I have see some inconsistent behavior.

Reset didn't work, so we restarted and it worked. Thanks for the advice. Till now, I don't want to restart the server but no other way. Smiley Happy
