tTo generate output as json in formpublisher

Hi All,

There is requirement to generate o/p file in the form of json using formpublisher,

Any one has tried earlier using xslt to convert xml file (DCRs) to json as the o/p file.

Any example will be help full, and any challenges we get by doing this.

HI,

The link mentioned by nipper have invalid code.

I tried using this generic code. It only works if you are generaing a fairly simple json-single arrays.

If you have array inside arrays the code generates an invalid json file.

Use that generic code and trust someone's bad code and you will end up in a mess..

So write your own custom script to create a json file.Its pretty simple i would say. Just make sure you follow the json syntax properly,handling curly/square braces, commas etc.

Once you create the JSON file, you may validate it using:

http://jsonlint.com/

1 more thing. JSON file should'nt have any double quotes(") or backslash (\). so make sure you escape them.You can either do it in form api(iterating and reading all the items under container level and escaping them) or you may do this in xslt.

I can share code how to do that. Let us know if its needed.

Please share the sample code for generating the o/p file as json.

I will prefer to go with xslt pt + dcr xml file to get o/p as json file.

Note: Find replace for escaping special characters can be done using form api instead of xslt.
