How to Select/Highlight one or more documents in FileSite and/or DeskSite?

Hi All,
How can we if possible select/highlight document(s) in Filesite/Desksite. Of course this would work something like a document shortcut. I can open a document in WorkSite viewer which is done by simply calling nrl link, but I was wondering if we can navigate to that location and highlight document(s) programmatically. I noticed something similar that WorkSite already does in WhereFiled functionality used to locate emails.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
