Combining Multiple Content Stores

Does anyone have advice on combing multiple content stores into one? Our two stores have content that does not overlap with regards to time. In fact, the second (most recent) store was spawned using the latest edition of the first store as the initial edition.

I'd like to make one big store and continue to accumulate content there. The post below suggests there is a way to do so with the iwmigrate CLT, but I can't find anything in the docs about this, only splitting stores and creating a copy of an existing store at a different location. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I would suggest trying pushing a branch from either store into a third store and see if iwmigrate will move the data correctly.

So you have Editions 1-100 in Store 1 and in store 2 you have 1-20 which maps to 101 through 120?

No changes have happened to the 1st store?

Editions are correct as you have described. How would moving a branch edition to a third store work to combine the first two?

Just beacuse you can do some non-destructive testing.

Right. So then it appears I can use iwmigrate to copy the contents of the two into a third, and ta-da, combined content store, correct?

Yep, then you can push the combined branch back to the main store.
