Sitemap Issue.

Hello,

I am having issue while using out of the box sitemap component. The Teamsite version we are using is 7.3.1. I updated the sitemap with the new node called Blog (find attachment -error). It is suppose to open in new browser window. I am selecting the correct values while editing the sitemap, but still it is opening in same window. Can you assist me troubleshooting the issue?

I checked the external (Find attachment - External) , but didn't help much. 

Given below is the code snippet in the datum.

The external only fetches the datasource for you. If your XSL doesn't look at the value of that field, then you can't expect the resulting HTML's behaviour to respond to that property.

I am still confused about the external being triggered while using the sitemap. Isn't that suppose to work correctly, as it is OOTB?

You need some training.

The check box that says open in a new window is only an attribute in an XML file. It will not magically open a new window.

As Rick said, if your XSL is written properly, it will set the target to open in a new window when that link is clicked. It won't unless you write it.

The Java external you reference is what returns the sitemap in XML form to your page.
