There is no LDAP integration for OD admin as such we have relatively for TeamSite.

I have seen OD admin able to authenticate windows domain users by default when domain_users were part of same server where OD admin is running.
I haven't seen anything such on Linux servers.

Unless something has changed, I believe that the OD Admin UI requires OS account authentication (Windows and Unix).
On Unix, I think you may be able to set things up with PAM to provide something that OD will accept as OS account authentication, but if you skip PAM and just have all your users authenticating against LDAP / AD - I don't think it will work.

Frankly, I never find that much use for the OD Admin UI - so I tend to avoid worrying about it.
