Files locked while uploading

Hi,

While uploading the edited file in teamsite, I am prompted a error message informing me that I cannot upload the file, since it is being locked by my own user id. But if I unlock all the files in the current folder, I could then upload the file. Why is it behaving this way? Any idea?

What is the locking model you have in place?
Also what settings you have for downloading file to IWTEMP?

I've seen this before, though I cannot remember what we did about it.

Questions:

My guess would be that impersonation is not working for the upload portion, and thus it does not recognize the user doing the upload as being the same user who holds the lock on the file - but that's just a guess.You may need to try to engage Support if you cannot figure it out (and/or if nobody else comes up with a solution here).

1)Did u close the session while the upload was happening
2)Network error where the hand shaking between the app server and web server did not happen so the app server can remove control

Hmm - unless the iwserver process is not running as 'root', I'm surprised that it has the problem you are describing. I suggest contacting Support (and let us know what happens)

I think it was due to some issues with unix user id, we assigned him a new user id and it works well now. Thank you for the suggestions.
