How to reterive the current task details from the workflow

Hi,

We have a requirement where we need to pull out a list of all the workflows which are hanged up due to system error.

We have extracted the list of active workflow using the "wfquery" ,through which we got the required information like workflow id,activation Date etc.

But, we need to pull the current task from the workflow as well.

Kindly suggest the way by which we can get the current\active task details for the workflow.

Are you doing this via Java (CSSDK), Perl, or some other scripting language?

Good purnt - I meant to mention that in my original response:

In general, all external tasks (and cgitasks) should have timeouts that will transition the workflow to some form of timeout and/or error handler task(s), which in turn should send email to the task owner and/or administrators - such that someone would be annoyed enough to actually resolve an issue with the job rather than leaving it festering in the system.
