Not able to delete component in page

Hi,

When I edit the page and try to delete a component from the page, it is remaining the same.When I save and preview, it remains the same. It is not getting deleted. What might be the problem?

Please reply asap.

2. Make sure only one user is editing that file..

sometimes I resolved this problem by closing all open windows.

I have permissions and only I was working on that page. I have tried many times. Before it was working fine. Now all of a sudden, it is giving trouble.

You must have a javascript error happening. Use firefox+firebug to figure out what it is, and post it here if you need help troubleshooting it.

All other obvious options exhausted - permissions, locks, concurrent edits, workstation issues I would try one of these two ideas.

If you are really in a bind - [THIS IS A BAD IDEA!] - you can manually edit the .page file with a text editor.

I don't suggest you do this since I'm not sure what will happen with any internal pointers for which files reference other files.

A much better solution would be to delete the page and recreate it.

Also - since this is a web-based interface - make sure your browser's cache is emptied and then re-try the deletion of the component.

It's unlikely to be the case - but it's a fairly simple thing to try before getting into various unsupported options.
