Is there a way (supported and hopefully OOTB) to reduce the size (cleanup/compress/..) the tsreports or TeamSite Common databases?

What the database server? Oracle or MSSQL?

On MSSQL you could use the Shrink to reduce/compress the logs and the database it self

We do have a way to remove older entries from the reporting database. If you actually want to remove old data, you'll have to log a support case to get more information on that, as there are no scripts OOTB.

For your common services database, it should not be very large. Exactly what tables are so big that you need to make them smaller?

If you are not using TSReports, you can disable them, I hope this would not make any additional entries in the table
