I am getting forllowing error, Any idea's how to resolve it ?

Either the context lost sight of the page, or the page lost sight of its components. Obviously, that shouldn't happen under normal circumstances. Either your session expired or someone restarted the server while you weren't looking.. or you did something funky with your Java/JavaScript.

I am getting the same error. Neither the server was restarted nor did the session expire.
I have tried removing, adding different components on the page individually and still it happens. So there doesn't seem to be a Java issue either. However, I am not sure about the Javascript that is added at the site level.

Can you point out where can I start looking for the issue?

P.S. This is happening only on IE7.

Post your stack trace. The error message might be the same, but the stack trace (and thus the problem) could be considerably different.

Hi Samir,

I am using team site 7.3.2 version.

what did you do to fix this issue. I am getting the same error when i am trying to add components to a page. However I have added a new layout to the page and I am using the new layout for creating the page.

The same layout works well in the dev environment.however when I am trying to use the same in test environment its throwing an error.

This is a really old thread and might not have the same root cause as your issue. Post a new thread, provide your own stack trace and state your environment details.

I have reverted the changes which I have made to layout files and the issue is resolved.I will test this again on my dev environment and will see how it behaves after moving it to the higher environement.

If the issue persists will open a new thread.
