tsadmin authenticate failure
skapelle
hi all,
i'm running teamsite 6.0 server on a w2k server with sp3 installed. teamsite itself works fine but i can't login into the tsadmin gui.
error message: authenticate failure
i try to log in as a master but it don't work, altough it is possible to log in into teamsite itself with the same user.
servletd_out.log:
OpenAPIAuthenticator.authenticate(SimpleIdentity[ username=rpri271 domainname=cms001 rolename=master])
2003-10-20 16:29:37 - Authentication error: user=rpri271; domain=cms001; role=master
any ideas?
thanks,
skapelle

You need to be set up in the od_admin.uid roles file, as well as the admin.uid file. Just having access to TS does not guarantee that you shoiuld have access to the admin module for OpenDeploy.

hi skapelle,
Unfortunately, TS Admin is NOT supported with the initial release of TS 6.0. This is indicated on the TS 6.0 compatibility matrix available on the support site.
Please review this as there is some very important information on here about TS 6.0 compatibility with products such as DataDeploy, MetaTagger, and more.
https://support.interwoven.com/resources/products/compatibility/teamsite.asp
Just to let you know, we are hard at work on issuing a patch for this and a few other bugs that have come up. It should be available in the next few weeks.

Please remember, DevNet is a developer community, not technical support. If you have a time sensitive issue, you should be sure to open a support case with IWOV support (provided you have a valid support contract).
Sometimes it is also helpful to create a new post if there are additional questions, since your new issue is not directly related to TSAdmin.
I have asked some people to take a look at your problem, hopefully one of them will have time to check it out shortly.

If you are experiencing this problem because you still have TSAdmin installed, then you need to uninstall TS admin. This was pointed out by Dave's post earlier.
We cannot tell from your post if this is a new problem or not.

Did you ever get a resolution for your problem?
I'm seeeing something similar on a W2K SP4 system with TS6 (6.0.01 Build 29278) installed - and the serveletd_out.log has a lot of errors about sibling_order too:

I don't see any TSAdmin installed on the machine - but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place? I looked under
Add / Remove Programs
- and the only Interwoven product I see installed in TeamSite 6.0.0L -- I looked through the registry and only saw references to
m
tsadmin and not just tsadmin.
