Teamsite 6.7.2 going out of support

So we know that HP is pulling engineering support for TS 7 and below this September or thereabouts. I won't get in to the reasons I'm asking but are there contractors out there that have the ability to give good coding/patching support for Teamsite 6.7.2 after support ends with HP if a company decided to limp along for awhile without support from the vendor themselves. Appreciate any information I can get on this.

Limited, since they will not have source code access. That being said, some on this board have seen 98% of the issues and can fix a whole lot of stuff, so it probably is a pretty good idea.

Good idea to go without support? Or good idea to upgrade? Not totally clear on your response there but appreciate you reply.

Best idea is to upgrade, I trust you if you say you cannot, then you cannot. Your best bet then is to get someone who has a lot of experience with 672 (and hopefully an environment that they can replicate issues) to help.

I'm curious why, if your company spent this much money on this product, why upgrading is not an option, yet spending the money on a consultant is?

How do you know which account that is? You have special powers? And I'm not sure any of you who post here would be interested in a gig to keep a relic like 6.7.2 alive. Where's the fun in that? Other than the paycheck, of course... Smiley Wink

Nay, I have no knowledge of the account and no intentions to find out more. As to upgrade - cheapskate pays twice.
