How to include javascript and css files in a component?

Hi,

I am working on TS version "Autonomy Interwoven TeamSite 7.1.0"
Can you please let mw know how to include .js and css fil in component.

One option i can see is, to add js and css files in "default.site" but that is rendered for each and evry page of site.

How to control it.
Please help.

You can include javascript and css files at an individual page level as well.
Edit .page -> Go to File menu -> Page Settings - there you can include javascript and css files under Shared resources section. Remember you have to enable them to take effect.

Including them at the page level is probably your best bet..
Option 2 is to have an external that adds to the HEAD_INJECTION pagescope var.
Option 3 is to have your component directly print out <script src=""> and <style>@import url("");</style> tags in the body of the page.

We have tried with your option,
It is working fine for JS file but CSS is not working.
Can you tell me what can be the reason?

Ideally it should work if included css is an enabled resource. Check to see through firebug if css is getting applied at all on the page or not.

CSS may have problems if it doesn't take into account some of the additional wrapper elements that SP/LS uses - firebug should help you to see the actual generated HTML code and then you can work with that and your CSS code to get the proper result.

I was trying to apply background color only which does not include any wrapper of LS. Even this is not working.
