Deleting a project in LSCS

Hi

When i am trying to delete a project in LSCS I am getting following error.

Can you please suggest what could be the issue?

Invalid search server response: Failed to index content : -4

LSCS7.2.1 is installed on IBM App Server, Linux RHEL5

The Search & Database status is "UP"

Issue: Deleting a project in LSCS failing & deployments hanging

There is nothing logged in any of the the logs, however this issue started when a deployment got stopped due to some manual error, than rest of the deployments to lscs also came to a hanging state, it seems there is some pending context alive which stops any further deployments. There was a warning in systemout.log that 'pending context found'.

Is there any way we can remove this pending context/ pending deployment from LSCSRT?

All the services are up and running for LSCS.

I have seen a issue with earlier version of LSCS where the error had "pending import found". Clear your hanged deployments (they shouldn't hang but fail so you might have to check if there are other reasons) and follow the steps provided in the support site. Search for curl.

Basically you have to download latest version of curl for your OS and clear the pending imports based on its ID.

BTW, you can do this with any network client, including telnet (which on Windows is often more acceptable by sysadmins than downloading a third party exe onto production servers).

Anyway, the pending contexts are a LSCS thing, not an IDOL thing. Unless I misunderstood your issue, the DRECOMPACT call will likely not achieve anything. What you're looking to do is flip a flag in the LSCS database, in the CONTEXTS table where one of the rows will have ACTIVE=1. Setting this to 0 fixes it, though I doubt that's a supported approach. I haven't found a "right" way to fix this via LSCS URL, so perhaps Rohan knows something I don't.
