about 9173 port

Hi All,

do we need to open 9173 port on the receiver, if we want to administer it from OD Admin?

and what type of port is that?
they have mentioned in the document that it is RMI registry port.

but when we request a firewall team to open the 9173 port they are asking is it TCP port or UDP port?

anybody have any idea?
