Consuming web services in Teamsite Component

Hi! I m working on a project in which my web services will provide me an xml/csv file. I need to parse this xml file to display its elements in a component in Teamsite.
Can any one guide me how to grab this xml file from web services in a component in Teamsite and then show the elements of this file in that component?

Read the SitePub dev guide, and look up JAX-WS.

Create a custom Java "External" class and reference it in your component. That class can do whatever you need it to, as long as it returns XML. Your component can then use XSL to operate on that XML and render it however you like. LiveSite does not impact how your Java class interfaces with the web service whatsoever.
