Events in teamsite on save of component

Hi There,

I need to trigger some action whenever user saves or updates a component.
I think one of the way is using event handler, but i am not sure how to achieve this functionality. Can someone guide me how i can implement this?

Take a look at the usage of "iwat" CLT Command, it's documented. Search Forum for "iwat", there are few good threads.

Note that this sort of processing can get unpleasant fast. The main problem is that Event regex intercept is global.
It will be your Event handler responsibility to filter out tons of "false positives" for CreateFSE/ModifyFSE Events.

In other words, your handler should be smart enough to take an Event, analyze it and decide that it should either get
processed or it should be ignored since an update that caused it is not the one you are interested in.
