Inter Server Error while uploading big size files
jayantb
I have written a utlity to upload files from local machine to our file server in TeamSite. After successful upload I display the screen with Successful Upload message. This utility works fine for the file sizes upto 12-14 MB.
When I am trying to upload file more that 14 MB it gets uploaded successfully but instead of Success Upload message window, I get the Internal Server Error on the screen. I put the logs and all the time the flow passes through the required code.
Is anyone help me to resolve this issue? Why the successful sccren appears when file size is low and get error when it is more?
Is it something released to session timeout or so?

You haven't posted enough context for anybody to really help you debug what sounds like 100% custom code.. For starters,
- Perl iw-bin or Java servlet?
- TS and OS versions?
- How is your utility putting files in TeamSite? iwmnt or cssdk?
- The HTTP500 is thrown by what service? Apache? JBoss? Tomcat?
Without knowing any of the above, I'll wager a guess that you should check the logs for the answer to that last question.. Your code may not have errored, but whatever service thinks it has should have logged _something_.

Here are the following answers:
1) We used Perl iw-bin
2) The TS version is 7.2 and OS is window XP
3) Our utility is putting files in TeamSite through CSSDK
4) The HTTP500 is thrown Apache services.
Please find the below attachment for the error.
can anyone help on this?

From that message, the CGI is not producing HTML (or is not even running). Often it is a syntax error or you do not have execute permissions on the file or the shebang line is wrong.
Things to try:
run the command on the commandline, /usr/Interwoven/TeamSite/httpd/iw-bin/mycgi.ipl
Do not prepend that with iwperl
check the output
If that works, start putting debug statements into the CGI (and have the debug dump to a file not to the screen).

(A) You said the OS is Windows XP - are you talking about the client or the server? Windows XP is not a supported OS for running the TeamSite server.
(B) Add the following to your CGI Perl code:
use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser);
and then try running the CGI the way you normally do.
