Reverting TeamSite 7.4.1 upgrade back to 7.3.1

I am rolling back the 7.4.1 installation on our Dev Server as changes to the sitemap rendering logic causes havoc to our sitemaps.

The upgrade from 7.3.1 to 7.4.1 was smooth. I just had to run the installer. I am lucky to have a 32 bit OS.

So I assume the way to revert the upgrade is as follows.

1. Run 7.4.1 installation wizard
2. choose uninstallation
3. Run 7.3.1 installation wizard and install TeamSite

Is content store safe by this way ? My worry is that content store gets deleted while unistalling 7.4.1 TeamSite . Please share your thoughts ?

The content store should not get deleted during the un-install.

The problem is that if the content store was modified in any way as part of the installation of 7.4.1 (and/or subsequent usage after the upgrade) - that it may now be incompatiable with 7.3.1. I.e.: I hope you have a good backup of your content store from before you did the upgrade - because you may need to restore that backup too.

Prior to upgrading any of our servers we first take a snapshot of the TS databases, the backing store mount, and the application mount. If we need to roll back, we simply restore all those backups and all is good. No need to uninstall/reinstall anything.
