Idol not indexing LSCS content 7.3.1

7.3.1 on Solaris

LSCS Authoring was installed before Idol (read TS Search).

Search has been installed and seems to be working but Staging content is not being returned when I query documents for LSCS Authoring. It just returns no assets, but everything else off the debug panel works.

The index log (in idol/logs) has not changed since it was started.

One other Q, in lscs-conf.properties, I have always used content.root=/iwmnt and it is set that way by the installer. However in the 7.3 Web Solutions Authoring Components Install Guide, it says:

content.root=C:/LSCSAuth-Store

Any clue ?

One last one, I installed the lscs-sample spar and it only installed in the spars branch on iwadmin, not in the default/main/lscs-sample branch I specified, when did that change ?

Try stopping and restarting the indexer - making sure that you either added branches via the CLT or in the branches.cfg before doing so - to see if that then updates the index.log.

If the index log gets updated - (and the branches are finished being indexed) - then try your LSCS queries again to see if it is then picking up changes to the staging area.

I can use TeamSite Search to query a filename. But the data is not being returned to LSCS.

Is anything going into the idol logs within the SEARCH_HOME/idol/ directory?
Is Search installed on the same or different server than TeamSite?

Same server, index log does not change, but the query log does.

OK, I got the index posting to the log, but still getting nothing from the query.

But using q=* from debug panel and http://myserver:8080/lscs/v1/document?q=* returns

So what am I missing ? A lot of file have been submitted to Staging. Recent more.

Is the LSCS query supposed to pick up everything that's indexed, or everything that's been "deployed" to LSCS?

I'm not sure if that distinction went away in 7.3.1 or just became very fuzzy.

For 7.3.1 LSCS Authoring, it should pick up everything in Staging. Preview deployment does not mean anything.

LSCSRT needs to have content deployed to it
