OpenDeploy 5.6 Edition Simulation hangs

When attempting to simulate an edition based deployment, the deployment 'hangs'. However when it is started, the deployment completes correctly - any advice??
We are using OD5.6 SP1...cheers

This is possibly related to bug 45430, which is targeted to be fixed in an upcoming patch.

You may want to file a case with Tech Support to see if your circumstances match the bug (and fix.)
