Teamsite Wrapper Error : Open Session Error

Hello All,

Yesterday we happen to face an issue with our Teamsite. We were getting Teamsite: Wrapper Error : Open session Error and we were also getting impersonation wrapper error. It would be very helpful if you can let me know under what circumstances do we get these typr of cgi wrapper errors. One such thing I came to know is the iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi’s ownership has been changed. But I have checked that and the owner was root. Is there anything else that you know which could have caused this issue. Any information on this could be very helpful.

Do an ls -l on that file, it should look something like this:

-r-sr-xr-x 1 root root 11826866 Oct 11 2011 /usr/Interwoven/TeamSite/httpd/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi

The s in red is the most important thing. That is the sticky bit and means that this app is executed as root.

Can you elaborate where you were getting this error? What were you doing to see this error? Is this unique for a Data type or a workflow or any external task, you query is very generic. When you said it happened yesterday, so the error is no occurring today?

Hello Lilley,

It was for any external task that we performed. We were trying to browse some assets in our DCR (this is an external task). Yes this was resolved by restarting the TeamSite services.

But curious to know what has caused this problem at the first place
