Open Deploy Error

The deployments have started failing recently from base to the target. all the deployments were working fine till yesterday and suddenly they have stopped working to target. I am getting "Failed Creating Socket" error.

I have already checked the License, Telnet command and both are fine. No firewall exists. The iwodstart command to initiate deployment from command prompt is also failing also no log is being formed on the target when base is trying to establish connection.

I am not doubting configurations as they are the same that were working earlier.

The total space left on the C: of target is only 1GB . Is that suffient for deployment to happen and run other process? We have windows server.

Any help would be appreciated.

Make certain you can get to that port form the TS server

I always run

telnet RECEIVER-NAME 20014

from the OD sender

Also look on the receiver and get any logs from there,

As nipper indicated - you need to make sure you're doing the "right" telnet operation for verifying that OpenDeploy is running on the receiver.

In this case, from your log file:

The command you want to do is:[indent]

telnet 10.8.54.141 20014

[/indent]The results you want is to get an empty window with no prompt, no error in it - then use the telnet escape sequence (Control-] if memory serves correctly) to quit out of the telnet session.

If you get any kind of prompt or error message - then you have a problem on the Receiver - or somehow your DNS is no longer working for that server IP address (perhaps they changed the address of the server and didn't update the odnodes.xml file accordingly?)

I have already executed telnet command from base to reach to the target however there is one thing.

When i run "telnet bosbraveweb 20014" - a blank screen appears with no error, success message connected to bosbraveweb.

but when i run "telnet 10.8.54.141 20014" - i get an error message saying could not open connection to the host on port 20014: connection failed.

Not sure why it works fine with hostname and not with the IP. Any pointers?

I got the issue. The networking team have updated the IP of the target server. That's the reason i am unable to ping at the IP.
