Bypass non-os compiler restrictions

We are planning to move our users from local os to Corporate LDAP. Is there a way (besides going to XSLT-templates) to bypass the limitation of non-os users not able to use iwpt-compiler templates? We were thinking about a wrapper for iwpt_compiler.ipl running as our local os admin or is there any other way to get the users at least use preview and generate in the interface. We have a local os user tsadmin with full powers that is used within the workflows to generate files (which is working fine)

Any help or suggestions is highly apprciated.

System is Solaris 10 with TS 7.4.1 coming from TS 6.7.2

Thanks Boris, I'm no LDAP/PAM guru so could someone explain how the setup with PAM or the setup with usernames in /etc/passwd plus LDAP authentication set, would work? We have the LDAP users working fine in the gui on the new install but generate fails (as expected)
Any help highly appreciated...

Boris' suggestion is probably the cleaner one, but yes, such a wrapper can be built. You'd write your own implementation of the CSPTCompiler interface, which would create a process fork to iwpt_compile in debug mode as the user running JBoss (iwui), then grab the output and write it to a CSFile as the current user. Achieves the same, but likely more effort, esp. if you don't know what the heck I'm talking about.
