LSCS query partial metadata match

Hi Techies,

my env:
Linux 5.5. Teamsite 7.3, Livesite: 3.0

I would like to retrieve the lscs results by using lscs api.

my requirement something like if I send the "Page Mill Rd" from the input query and some content dcr is tagged with "Page Mill Rd California", then this should return. That is , if the input word from metadata matches with any one word in the tagged metadata that item should return.

I have used following query to retrieve the lscs results.

Constraint isConstraint = new FieldConstraint(TeamSite/Metadata/Postal_address, Operator.EQUALS,"Page Mill Rd");
postalAddORList.add(isConstraint);
queryConstraintList.add(new OrConstraint((Constraint[]) postalAddORList.toArray(new Constraint[0])));
AndConstraint andConstraint=new AndConstraint((Constraint[]) queryConstraintList.toArray(new Constraint[0]));
query =new Query(andConstraint, sortFieldArray );
LSCSIterator iter = client.getDocuments(query.toString(), 0, Integer.parseInt(maxContentCount));

Please let us know there is any other operators can we b use for comparing partial metadata other than Operator.EQUALS.

LSCS should already be doing partial string matching. I don't believe it's even capable of exact matches. What makes you think otherwise? Have you tried poking at it by executing different versions of your query directly against LSCS in a browser?

Side note: your posted sample makes no sense. Why are the 'AND' and 'OR' there when you only have one clause fragment?

Yes Ricky,
I have only one Clause fragment , so i removed AND fragment.

And for actual issue:
I have constructed FieldConstraint like below and sending Page mill Rd as input value for the metadata field Postal_address. Here I can retrieve some dcr contents , that are tagged with only meta data "Page Mill Rd". But according to LSCS_7.3_TechRef_rev1_en guide , the query has to retrieve the all the documents that are tagged with "Page Mill Rd", "Page Mill Rd California", Page Mill Rd California USA" right ?
but in my case I can see only document tagged with "Page Mill Rd".

query constraint:
Constraint isConstraint = new FieldConstraint(TeamSite/Metadata/Postal_address, Operator.EQUALS,"Page Mill Rd");

Is there any issue with constructing query with only using FieldConstraint and passing Operator.EQUALS parameter in constraint.
Shall we need to use any other format of Operators or etc... for retrieving partial word matching content.

And also I have executed rest query calls through browser.There also I am getting result documents that are tagged with entire word. If i pass partial word in query , those documents are not appearing .
q=TeamSite/Metadata/Postal_address:=Texas , then only Texas tagging documents appearing. but I need to get the documents that are tagged with Texas, Texas USA, and so on...

Ah, yeah, use Operator.DEFAULT instead of EQUALS, leading to q=TeamSite/Metadata/Postal_address:Texas (note the missing equals). That should do what you want.
