Just to be clear - you mean CSS link tags (

) not HTML hyperlink anchor tags (

) right?

Assuming CSS link tags - is the issue that you just want to insert them, or that you want to make sure they're inserted in a particular order relative to some other link tags that might already be getting inserted via OOTB processes?

Also - are you talking about putting these elements into a .page file - or into an HTML [static] file generated from a .page file?

The more detailed you are about the issue you are trying to solve, the better chance you have of getting a reasonable / valuable response.

My one and only question is how is your .page built?
and how many components does it has?

Thanks

Pretty much anything you want to put in the head, you will need to use an external.

There is an example in the developer.spar which you can use: SetPageTitlePrefix.java in /iwadmin/main/spars/WORKAREA/Installed/developer/toolkit_src/ls_runtime_src/com/interwoven/livesite/component/developer/external/example once you load the appropriate spar.

There is an associated component for that as well.

Thank you very much.

My requirement is to add CSS link tags, which are dynamically generated at Runtime and these links should be visible in between HEAD /HEAD tags when I do a view source.

I tried context.getPageScopeData().put(RuntimePage.PAGESCOPE_HEAD_INJECTION

But it didnt work.

Hi shandy,

This is a very straightforward thing to implement. We have implemented a similar thing (code snippet below). We are injecting a canonical link tag in the page header. We are doing this in the Page pre-controller. It injects the string: in tghe page header. And when we check the page source, we can see this tag in the header.

It works for us. Should work for you as well. Hope it helps!

headInjection = headInjection.append("< link rel = 'canonical' href=' ").append(metaCanonical).append("' >");
requestContext.getPageScopeData().put(RuntimePage.PAGESCOPE_HEAD_INJECTION, headInjection.toString());
