Finding location of default store

In our dev environment, iw.cfg has following lines

[iwserver]

##store_directory_default=T:\iw-store\default
store_directory_intl=T:\iw-store\OS

Can store be registered as shown here ? Because in manual PDF, store is shown registered under

[locations]
iwstore=C:\iw-store

Can we use "store_directory_intl" , in place of "iwstore" ?

Secondly, default store is commented out and I am not sure which drive soes it point to at this time. So can a store be commented out in iw.cfg ? Will TS be able to find store, if its commented in iw.cfg ?
What default location will TS use ? Will it be the one which was in use before it has been commented out ?

Is there a clt to find store location ? e.g. for iw-home, I can use iwgethome. For store, is there clt available to locate store ? If not, how to find location of default store ?

This is for a new store called intl

store_directory_intl=T:\iw-store\OS

On linux the default iwstore is in /etc/defaultiwstore on Windows it is stored in the registry (if I recall correctly)

In addition to what Nipper already indicated - the 'intl' store would represent a second store - which requires licensing (a.k.a. $'s) for compliancy - so make sure you're actually licensed for multiple stores before you spend much time trying to use them.

This store is in use for long now. So I am sure it is licensed.

Yes. This syntax identifies Content Store location for the non-default Store named "intl".

No, it should be where it is, in [iwserver]. In Windows locations' iwstore will be overridden by the Registry. You might as well not
bother and skip iwstore entry in locations section completely.

If you ask me, it does not make sense to pay for two stores and use only the second one but what do I know...

does [iwstore] have to be registered in registry and referring it in iw.cfg

In Windows, registry only. Its value indicates root location for the "default" (that's an actual Store name!) Content Store

If there is no registry for iwstore but only in iw.cfg, will that work OR is that an error ? OR iwstore is only in iwserver section and not in registry nor in location section, will that work ? Can I specify default andnon-default store in server section of iw.cfg ?

In iwstore section of locations, can we use store_directory_intl OR is locations section reserved for iwstore only(which in any case is overwritten by registry)

I have two stores intl and default, can I refer both of these stores in iwstore of locations section OR intl (non default store) has to specified in iwserver section only ? (I would like to test all these by myself, but I have to reboot UI all the time and I can not do that)

Most of these replies have cleared lots of doubts.

This is certainly not my problem.

What exactly is the problem you are trying to solve? Is there one? If there is, describe it and explain what you did to solve it,
what worked and what did not, etc... If you are just curious, read manuals and play in Dev/QA or whatever Environments that are
available to you. Forums like this one may sometimes help in solving particular issues but this is not a source for free education.

When we are checking UI, all the content from default store disappeared.
Our Admin is not available. I checked iw.cfg to see where iwstore is ponting, only to find iwstore line was commented, it was under iwserver section and intl store was referred in there(By this time I had no idea that content store can be set in registry).
When I am informed that default store can referred in registry, I want to know if other stores can also be referred from registry or not.
Whether it is must for a default store to be referred in registry ?
If default store is in iw.cfg, but not in registry, will that suffice OR it has to be registered in registry
Does a second store need to referred in registry OR if second store is referred in iw.cfg, thats good enough
Can second store be only under iwserver section in iw.cfg OR can it be under location section also ?

These things are not mentioned in manual PDF. When I checked some earlier posts, I see people rant a lot about manuals (With which I fully agree).
