IIS on port 81 problem

Hi all. During the installation, we didn't configured the IIS on our Win 2008 Server, so we are trying now to do it. Following the guide, we assured that the Y: drive is already mounted, then we run this command from the Administator shell:


\Interwoven\TeamSite\iw-perl\bin>perl.exe \Interwoven\TeamSite\install\tspostreboot.pl \Interwoven\TeamSite IIS

it pops up a window, I click "Continue", and then the shell return this error with the window telling that is "Configuring IIS"


Tk::Error: Can't call method "addWebDir" on an undefined value at \Interwoven\TeamSite\install\tspostreboot.pl line 685,  line 6.
 Tk callback for .frame.button

 (command bound to event)

This error remains until I close the window.

How can I configure IIS on the 81 port for Teamsite?

Support is your best bet. Most likely something in your environment is unsupported.

However you can also peruse the install manual and perform the manual configuration of IIS.

Stupid question first, are you admin ?

Did you install IIS manager now ?

Also, stop the "Default Web Site" running in IIS.

Also, I noticed you are running perl, can you try iwperl ? You may be missing a specific perl module.

Yes, I am the admininistrator. How could I do the manual configuration of IIS?

Did you install IIS manager now ?

Also, stop the "Default Web Site" running in IIS.

Yes, I have installed the IIS manager. The "Default Web Site" is already stopped.

Also, I noticed you are running perl, can you try iwperl ? You may be missing a specific perl module.

Same behaviour also using iwperl.exe.

I have 2 more options which you can give a try :

1. This might be due to not having "IIS 6.0 Management Capability Feature" installed with IIS 7.x. This component is not installed by default because IIS is not initially set up to use it. Installing the IIS 6.0 Management Capability Feature should resolve the error mentioned above

2. There is a windows service called "Windows management instrumentation". Have you stopped it before doing the install ? Try stopping it and run the post deploy script.

Trying this I could be able to complete the auto-configuration of IIS properly with iw-perl, thanks!
Sadly, when I try to preview a file from a workarea, the browser return me that that file is not found, while the IIS is running and the proxy service is running (I can browse it from Explorer and from the IIS manager).
Should I need anything else to do to properly see this file in the CC preview?

Sounds like maybe the script didn't complete so well after all, so some manual config may still be required.

What happens when you go to http://yourserver:81/iw-mount/default ?
* If this works, then the problem lies with iwproxy config
* If you get a 404, then you're probably missing a virtual directory named "iw-mount" in your "Default Web Site" that should point to the root of Y:\
* If you get a 401/403, then you probably need to reset anonymous browsing to 'enabled' using the TSIMP_SERVERNAME user that's created at install time.

I had a 401 error, so I edited the anonymous user for the Default Website matching the TSIMP_SERVERNAME one, and now it works!
