Does Compatibility Mode Fix IE10 Issues?

My co. is pretty set on running IE 10 and although TS does not officially support it it appears to run correctly when set in compatibility mode.

I've read in another thread that TinyMCE had some issues with it?

Are there any other concerns i'm missing?

We are running ts 7.4 and OD 7.4 using only forms publisher in a win 7 environment.

Not certain if it is in a supported manner, but yes I have noticed it behaves much better in compatibility mode as well

If one f12's into Developer tools there is a menu at the top that lets you go into ie9 browser mode but if you close out your browser and reopen it reverts back to 10 mode. I don't know of a way to make the ie10 run in ie9 mode persistant else this would be a good workaround.

Not certain but I know in IE11 you can set URLs that should run in compatibility mode. Is there a menu item for compatibility view settings ?

You can try forcing the browser into a particular document mode by editing the iwwebd.conf to make it produce the appropriate X-UA-Compatible header.. sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, because IE.

We've had a lot of trouble with standards mode in IE - particularly the edit window. I'd suggest running in compatibility mode until TeamSite gets its act together and starts producing standards compatible HTML for all it's windows.

However, from memory, a few JavaScript triggered TeamSite actions (such as clicking "edit" on a file) don't fire when IE10/11 are used in compatibility mode.

I am willing to add a UAX header in the iwwebd.conf. But I dont have any clue where in the file to add it.

And I sure dont know what to add.

Could je help me out here?

You can add the following as the very last line in the file. You'll also want to do this in iwwebd.conf.template so it persists across iwresets. Ref: mod_headers
