LIcense invalid - wrong domain name

Hi All,

I had installed OD reciever on web server. Unfortunately, the server was under a wrong domain, say 'X'.

And the license was genereated with correct domain name, say 'Y'.

Now, the server is placed under correct domain 'Y'.

But, when I put the OD.lic in the server and restart the OD service, it fails. The error is "Invalid license".

I checked the license info on the server with command.

java -cp C:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\lib\odng.jar com.interwoven.license.LicInfo -f C:\Interwoven\OpenDeployNG\lic.txt -p OD

It was showing domain name as 'X".

So, I thought it might be because installation was done earlier, So, I uninstalled and installed the OD again today. And tried to start the server with license file.

But, it is stil failing with same error. And licinfo command is still showing wrong domain name 'X'.

 

Any idea,why it is still referring to old domain name? And also apart from uninstall from Add/remove program and deleting OpendeployNG directory, what else I should do here? Reg clean?

 

OD 7.4.1 on Windows server 2012.

Check your hosts file on the server. If there's an entry that maps to the same IP that OD binds to, then it'll use the first FQDN attached to that IP in the hosts file. Perhaps you simply need to reorder them, or add one (before all others) that uses domain Y.
