Retrieval to TeamSite
System
Hi guys,
My aim is to retrieve assets from MB to TeamSite after performing some action on them (image resizing ,etc.) . I will have to create MB retrieval tasks for the same.
My query is how do i make the retrieval task to run and import the assets to TeamSite.
Do i have to create a workflow action in MB? If so , how i get get these modified assets to TeamSite after running a workflow.
I went through the docs and didnt find much on the same.
Could you kindly advice ,
Thanks,
Mav

Hi Mav,
You can select a particular MediaBin task while importing from MediaBin to TeamSite.
A drop-down list with available retrieval tasks will be displayed once you select the asset to be imported. This option is available in TeamSiteUI or from RichMedia tab. Starting from TS 7.3.2, you can customize this task drop-down based on the file formats. TaskConfig.xml file needs to be updated on MediaBin WebServices to reflect the tasks based on file format importing to MediaBin.
For DCRs, you can specify the taskID in the DataCapture.cfg in IWOV MediaBin tag.
Thanks,
Ravi

Hi Ravi,
Thanks for your response. I tried the same but when I try to import to TeamSite, in the retrieval drop-down list, i can select/see only the (Get Original) task. Am I missing something here ? Do i need to add the other retrieval tasks to some configuration file . Kindly advice.
Regards,
Mav

you may not permissions to other retrieval tasks.
Check the permissions.

Hi Mav,
Make sure you added the taskIDs to Default section of SelectiveTaskConfig.xml file which exists under ...\MediaBin Server\MBWebServer\Templates\ folder.
This .xml file has JPEG and Default sections. Default section applies to all file formats and JPEG is applicable to only .jpg formats.
for ex:
<metadatavalue>JPEG
Select a retrieval task for assets with Asset Type=JPEG
{7D906662-1E20-4DAC-B99A-0C14CBFDB2EC}
{78EB3F78-0A3C-11d3-8B23-00C0F0171F2D}
<metadatavalue>DEFAULT
Select a retrieval task for assets with multiple Asset Type values.
{7D906662-1E20-4DAC-B99A-0C14CBFDB2EC}
{78EB3F78-0A3C-11d3-8B23-00C0F0171F2D}
This above one shows GetOriginal and None task in TeamSite import page.
Thanks,
Ravi

The permissions make sense if you are impersonating TeamSite user to MediaBin.
If you use MediaBin Guest account in MediaBin connectors, I think it should not be an issue because usually this would be a MBPAdmin account.

If you want to filter the tasks based on file formats, you can create (with required file extension) multiple sections similar to JPEG and Default in SelectiveTaskConfig.xml file.
